About

Hello, my name is Céline and I’m the maker behind Coeur Deciel. A few years ago, life invited me to slow down and reconsider my sensitivity. What if, rather than being a flaw, it could be a tool for observation and sharing?
To me, illustration is a colourful firework and a powerful release of emotion. My aim is to capture the message of my clients and translate it into shapes and colours.
I’m a mum to two girls: Rose, 7, and Liv, 2.5. I’ve never experienced anything as rich and transformative as matrescence. Motherhood has turned my once firm convictions into a soup of humility; one that the two little souls who call me “mum” love to stir. Stir and stir again. And what gets stirred… helps us grow, doesn’t it?
I’m committed to providing my clients with a clear and pleasant experience. I offer what I like to receive, and that involves clarity. That’s why I’ve created a 4-step process. This process provides every individual with the comfort of being guided by an entirely tailored organization.
Communication plays a fundamental role in my practice. I use non-violent communication and active listening to better understand the projects entrusted to me.
Made to measure! There are as many visual stories to tell as there are projects. I choose to offer moments for reflection during a series of modifications suggested at the major validation stages (2x 1 round trip).

I love playing with vibrant colors and blending different textures and media. Soft washes combined with bolder, more vibrant brushstrokes have become my signature style.
The iPad is my tool of choice: its versatility and flexibility provide an incredibly precise result. My watercolor brushes also hold a special place in my studio.
Although I appreciate digital art, I also enjoy incorporating more traditional elements, such as those created with watercolors, pastels, or colored pencils. I love the organic touch it brings to my illustrations.
I worked for about ten years in the social sector.
I have alternated between roles as a French language assistant in Northern Ireland, a facilitator in a shelter for trafficked children in Nepal, a coordinator of extracurricular projects in an association in Brussels, Belgium, and a project manager for professional reintegration in Roubaix, France
These experiences have sharpened my organisational, relational, and management skills.
They also gave me the opportunity to attend enriching training sessions on project management, non-violent communication, active listening, and more.
Entrepreneurship came to me as an obvious choice due to the balance between professional and personal life, respect for neurodivergent ways of working, and alignment with my values.
Today, I experience immense satisfaction in managing my client projects from start to finish, engaging in clear and respectful exchanges with my counterparts, and harnessing my sensitivity through the creations that arise from my contracts with both professionals and individuals.
This freedom of organization, action, and implementation is something I cherish, and it is what freelancing offers me.
